Shaping My Style: The Journey of Finding My Creative Voice

Discovering my passion for jewelry metalworking was a major turning point, but developing my own creative style was an entirely different journey. Like most things worth pursuing, it came with challenges, moments of self-doubt, and a lot of trial and error. Yet each experience along the way pushed me to grow as an artist and taught me the importance of embracing my individuality.

In those early days, learning the intricacies of metalworking took patience and persistence. Jewelry design is a meticulous process, and there were times when I spent hours working on a piece, only to realize it wasn’t coming together as I’d hoped. The setbacks were frustrating, but each one taught me something new—about the craft, about problem-solving, and about myself. Slowly, I began to understand that the process itself was just as important as the final product.

Feedback from family, friends, and instructors was invaluable. My children, who would often watch me work, became some of my biggest supporters, offering encouragement that helped me through the tough moments. Their positive reactions gave me the confidence to keep going, to keep experimenting, and to trust in my instincts. Hearing from others that my work resonated with them reminded me that my creativity had the power to connect with people in ways I hadn’t imagined.

As I honed my skills, I began to let go of traditional expectations. I realized that my style didn’t have to fit into any mold. Instead of focusing on what others might expect, I started creating pieces that felt true to me—designs that reflected my journey, my challenges, and the lessons I’d learned. It was freeing to embrace my unique perspective and allow it to shape my work.

Each piece I create now is a reflection of this journey. It’s a reminder that the path to finding one’s voice is rarely straightforward, but it’s one worth taking. Today, my brand is grounded in these values—authenticity, resilience, and individuality. My hope is that each design encourages others to embrace their own paths, to live boldly, and to find strength in who they are.
